Autumn arrives!

It's here!! Despite the fact that local weather guru Paul Douglas was explaining why we weren't getting much fall color on the news last night, I'm calling it gorgeous as of yesterday. To top it off, a week full of rain gave way to sunshine today, and made the landscape all the more breathtaking. Thankfully we were out much of the day. We topped it off with a drive to a river bluff overlook. To check out the rest of the pictures, click here, and then click on slideshow to view them full-size.

Oh, how gorgeous, Tracy! It's very late for peak color. We have been ahead of peak fall color on our trip, and at this point (North Carolina), I don't expect we will see any spectacular color. Oh well...

I thought about that when you were in New England--really too bad to come so close and miss it. But if they're as far behind as we are, it would have been a shame to THINK you were going there for fall colors and still miss it.

Beautiful photos, Tracy! I especially like the ones with Lee & Ben and you and Bethany by the tree.

Oh thanks! This was a new place we found just outside of Hastings, but we had had such a busy day that we didn't get there until it had actually closed. They fortunately didn't kick us out, but I sure wish we could have stayed longer. It was SO pretty.
